Alfredo Londaibere was a painter, curator, and teacher whose work was distinguished by his exploration of painting as a medium of expression and artistic truth. Since the 1980s, he began exhibiting his works in galleries, bars, and underground spaces in Buenos Aires, becoming a prominent figure among the group of artists known as the “Artistas del Rojas.” He directed the gallery of the Ricardo Rojas Cultural Center and served as a teacher and coordinator of drawing and painting workshops at the Center until his death in 2017.

His artistic production encompassed various techniques and themes, including painting, works on wood, collage, intervened photographs, and tempera. Londaibere was recognized with numerous awards, and his work was exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Argentina, Latin America, the United States, and Europe. He studied in the workshops of renowned artists such as Araceli Vázquez Málaga, Oscar Smöge, and Carlos Kurten, among others. Additionally, he was a fellow of the Guillermo Kuitca project funded by the Antorchas Foundation and participated in the Barracas Workshop directed by Pablo Suárez and Luis F. Benedit.

His exploration in his work covered a wide range of influences, from classical European art to contemporary visual culture. His paintings and collages reflected a blend of elements existing in popular and scholarly culture, as well as a reinterpretation of classical traditions in the visual arts. His work also included sculptures and assemblages, where he explored the relationship between consumption and sacrality. In 2019, the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires presented a retrospective of his work titled "Yo soy santo," curated by Jimena Ferreiro. This exhibition offered a panoramic view of his artistic career, highlighting his ability to merge diverse influences and techniques into a coherent and original body of work.
