On March 13, the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA) inaugurated the exhibition Kuitca 86. From No One Forgets Anything to Seven Last Songs, the show offers an in-depth focus on a crucial stage of Guillermo Kuitca’s work (Buenos Aires, 1961), on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his first exhibition at Galería Lirolay in 1974 at the age of 13, and 22 years after his work was first presented at MALBA.
We are pleased to announce the loan of four works from the Collection for display in the exhibition: Untitled (Red Floor), 1988; Tres días, 1986; No One Forgets Anything, 1982; and The Kiss in Odessa, 1984.
Curated by Sonia Becce and Nancy Rojas, the exhibition highlights the experimental dimension of Kuitca’s early work and brings together, for the first time, a selection of paintings and iconic series such as No One Forgets Anything (begun in 1982), The Sweet Sea (started in 1983), and Seven Last Songs (presented in 1986), along with a selection of drawings and documents.
The exhibition at MALBA will be on view until June 16, 2025, in Room 5, Level 2.
