As part of the 50th Buenos Aires International Book Fair, Colección Balanz will take part in the talk “The Book as Object: Design, Narrative, and Collection-Building in Colección Balanz.”
This event proposes an approach to the book through its material and symbolic dimensions, focusing on design decisions, narrative construction, and its role within a growing collection. Drawing from the experience of Colección Balanz, the book will be considered not only as a support for content, but as a form that articulates thought, visuality, and memory.
The conversation will be led by Juliana Fontalva, Executive Director and Curator of the Collection, together with Alejandro Ros, a graphic designer whose practice has accompanied various editorial projects of the Collection.
