The Balanz Collection is located in Argentina and has more than 450 works by artists from all over the world. The directors of Balanz, Isabel Pita and Claudio Porcel, made their first acquisition in 2008 with the intention of exploring the possibility of developing an art collection. Their interest in the art world quickly turned into a journey of personal exploration and the body of work began to find its way inside the company as a key pillar for the team: in a world of finance and investment, art became a grounding cable and a connection to the spiritual world.
The collection quickly took on an institutional character and opened itself to the exploration of Latin American art, generating a strong and culturally significant body of art from that region. Today it is defined as international, with artists from all over the world, without regional or stylistic boundaries.
In March 2019, the collection opened a 400m² space within the Balanz offices dedicated exclusively to the exhibition of the central works. This space hosts visits, events, and meetings related both to art and capital markets, and receives local and international visitors on a daily basis, including museums, galleries, and various institutions. It also offers loans to museums worldwide and relies on the maintenance and conservation policies carried out by a team of professionals in the field. |
